Are you ready to take the next step?
My goal is to create a warm, safe, and open therapeutic space for you to bring any emotion you may be feeling to therapy. I provide a client centered approach, meaning I offer empathetic understanding to those I work with. I also believe in utilizing a strengths-based approach to instill a sense of purpose and happiness.
I view therapy as a collaborative experience as I walk alongside you through difficult seasons of life.
I have training and experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Many of my past clients have experienced childhood trauma. In my time working in the field, I have found working with 15-year-olds through young adulthood to be an area of passion.
It can feel scary to allow someone into your deepest vulnerabilities. Deciding to start therapy is brave, I would be honored to collaborate with you!
Alyssa works with teens through adulthood offering both in-office and telehealth sessions with daytime availability.
are you looking to have more from your life?
I am dedicated to helping clients enrich their narratives and cultivate new perspectives and coping skills.
I bring a unique vantage point, focusing on empowering you to tap into your innate creativity through artistic and experiential interventions. My specialized training in drama therapy equips me to support you effectively in this transformative journey.
I specialize in working with people navigating substance use disorders, eating disorders, and LGBTQIA+ folks. I also works in the space of anxiety, mood disorders, depression, and trauma.
I am committed to creating a more inclusive and empathetic therapeutic space and strive to serve those marginalized in our communities.
I am excited about guiding you in healing from early attachments by enacting new, positive patterns in relationships. Together, we can nurture your growth and facilitate meaningful change.

Having you been looking for ways to improve your life?
My grandfather used to tell me: “Write your life in pencil for it will surely change”. While we can be certain that our life and circumstances will change throughout life, what we can rely on is our ability to adapt. I view counseling as an opportunity to help you figure out how to adapt to the curveballs life throws at us. Whether that is learning new coping skills, gaining a fresh perspective, or just needing a listening ear, I believe that you too can adapt.
I have experience in areas such as depression, anxiety, adjustment, oncology, chronic illness, and grief and loss. As a counselor certified in thanatology (the study of death, dying, and bereavement), I recognize that the grief process is not just for death-losses. Non-death losses such as a loss of a way of life, loss of a job, loss of a relationship, and many more can trigger grief. Together, we can help you process that grief and adapt so that the days ahead feel a little lighter.
I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice. In your first session we will discuss what motivated you to seek counseling services as well as what you value in life. From there, we will discuss the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that may be pulling you away from those values as well as what tools we can add to your therapy toolbox. During treatment, I will help you set goals for yourself and we will discuss realistic ways to achieve them to help you live your values.

Do you feel like you’re stuck?
Something just isn’t right. You can’t get out of the funk or you don’t know where to turn next. I believe that counseling provides the relationship and safe space for a person to explore his or her life and take back control! As humans, we all struggle and sometimes we need support as we navigate through life.
Together, we can work on identifying how to get you back in the driver's seat. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I will walk with you as we work together to develop behavior and lifestyle changes to help you take back control of your life. We will work to find solutions that will last long-term and make the most effective change.
I specialize in working with women dealing with self-esteem and relationship issues, as well as adults and teens dealing with relationship issues, setting boundaries, and family issues. It is important to remember that this is your experience! I would be honored to walk through it with you.
